Differentiation in the History-Social Science Classroom

8:30 am to 3:30 pm

Sutter Square Galleria

Learn how to maximize learning by planning for your students’ varied learning styles, interests, and readiness. Through differentiated instruction, students will be able to acquire content, make sense of ideas, and demonstrate mastery through different avenues.
Over the course of 3 Saturdays (1/24, 2/21, and 3/21) we will demonstrate how to…
• integrate differentiation, in big ways and small, into already established routines;
• assess your students’ readiness levels, learning styles, and preferences;
• plan lessons with tiered assignments designed to challenge all of your students with different pathways to proficiency;
• fairly assess, grade, and manage a classroom in which students are working on different assignments;
• adapt a lesson you currently teach into a differentiated lesson.

Tuition: $300 -- 50% discount for additional teachers from the same school! Sac City teachers free!
