Solano County 8th-Grade Cohort Session 5
9am to 3:30pm

The American History Academy is the Teaching American History Grant partnership with Solano County Office of Education, Solano Community College and The History Project at UC Davis.
The 8th-Grade Cohort will meet throughout the year engaging with faculty and discussing teaching practice. Session #5 will cover the Civil War.
This is only open to teachers enrolled in the Solano County TAH program.

Rome's Lasting Legacy
8:30 am to Noon
Roman traditions appear in the history standards for several grades. Teacher created lessons will provide you with new angles on teaching Rome and the "classical liberal tradition" referenced by the US history standards. Teachers will demonstrate lessons; UCD historian Ellen Haritgan O'Connor will speak.
