Solano County 8th-Grade Cohort Session 6

The American History Academy is the Teaching American History Grant partnership with Solano County Office of Education, Solano Community College and The History Project at UC Davis.

The 8th-Grade Cohort will meet throughout the year engaging with faculty and discussing teaching practice. Session #6 will cover Reconstruction.

This is only open to teachers enrolled in the Solano County TAH program.

Join us as elementary and secondary teachers from Folsom Cordova and Center Unified share strategies and lessons developed during the three years of our Teaching American History grant program. Teachers will share ways to

•Get students engaged in historical inquiry
•Improve students’ historical thinking skills
•Help students analyze documents
•Integrate Language Arts standards with historical content
