Historical Thinking in the History-Social Science Classroom

This program introduces and explores historical thinking and how to implement it in the history-social science classroom. Topics will include:

  • Developing/using investigation questions.
  • Introducing and differentiating between primary and secondary sources.
  • Methods for questioning sources.
  • The Big Six Historical Thinking Concepts.
  • Aligning to the Common Core State Standards for Literacy.
