Global Dialogue: Spark Empathy - Free Workshop on Virtual Exchange for Elementary Teachers
Location: Sacramento, CA
Date: Saturday, September 21, 9:00am to 12:00pm

We are partnering with the California Global Education Project (CGEP) to host a free workshop, Global Dialogue: Spark Empathy for teachers of grades K-6. CGEP and Empatico are working together to develop the potential in every global citizen and spark empathy. More information...

Location: Various sites in Sacramento and High Sierra Mountains
Dates: October 12-13, 2019 with two webinars

Cost: $250, Registration open through October 5, 2019

We invite teachers from the K-12 classroom to join us this fall for "Return to Gold Mountain" a professional learning opportunity that takes teachers into the High Sierra's to see iconic sites of the Chinese Railroad workers who built the first Transcontinental Railroad. More information...

 

CLIC Yolo TNYolo Content, Literacy, Inquiry, Citizenship (CLIC) Project: Year 2

Location: Yolo County Office of Education 
Dates: October 10, 2019 and January 14, 2020: 9am to 3pm
Includes: Substitute reimbursement (upto $200/day), coffee, lunch, resources

In year 2, we will go into more depth exploring the four shifts in the framework with interactive strategies and resources for teaching topics new to the curriculum. Priority registration will go to previous participants. We will be taking a waiting list, and if there is space, welcoming new educators. More information. . .
