Teaching History Conference 2021

THC Save the Date

Join us May 7-8, 2021 for the 4th Teaching History Conference

CALL FOR PROPOSALS OUT BY EARLY FEBRUARY.

The Teaching History Conference, founded in 2015, is a community of practice that fosters collaborative K–16 conversations among history educators at all levels and across all sectors. A flagship conference is held biennially in California, and affiliated conferences occur periodically in other regions of the country. These conferences aim to bridge the gap in K–16 history education by bringing scholars, practitioners, and teachers from K–12 and postsecondary settings together to discuss common challenges and opportunities. Each conference includes talks, panels, seminars, and workshops that seek to facilitate dialogue and partnership between K–12 and university communities.

May 2021 brings the conference back to northern California and to the UC Davis campus. Our theme this year is "Challenges in Teaching & Learning History: Issues of Pedagogy & Content."
