This program focuses on Academic Literacy and Language Supports for English Learners and struggling students. This program:
- Explores the new “Instructional Practices” and “Access and Equity” chapters in the new History-Social Science Curriculum Framework and their descriptions of the relationships between the History-Social Science Content Standards, the Common Core State Standards for Literacy, and the English Language Development Standards.
- Highlights sentence and passages level deconstruction of historical documents to support comprehension for English Learners and struggling readers.
- Works with teachers on speaking and writing support for students to demonstrate understanding.
